That's the unfortunate downside to rapidshare. You have to wait a while if you're trying to download multiple files. We'll look for a better place to host it, but for the time being, we were concerned with simply getting it out there.

The guy that was banned for using texmod wasn't really banned for the modding. From what he's posted, which is actually buried somewhere in this thread, is that his account was flagged for his rapidly logging in and out testing a modification. To my knowledge, no one has been banned for simply using texmod. If that were the case, half my guild would have been banned by now, since many have been using other mods since they were first released, and the three of us in charge of this one haven't run GW without texmod in a week or so.

I've got a load of spare bandwidth if you want them mirrored, sykoone. Drop me a message on the wiki (User:AT) if you're interested.

That is pretty darn sweet. I see now what you meant about including the "colored-fog" effect - the first samples you posted didn't show it very well.
I've got some webspace I'm not using extensively at the moment, so I'll go ahead and mirror these mods for you:
Tyria: http://www.gwchecklist.com/Tyria_Car..._Made_Easy.zip
Cantha: http://www.gwchecklist.com/Cantha_Ca..._Made_Easy.zip
Elona: http://www.gwchecklist.com/Elona_Car..._Made_Easy.zip
[Edit] Sorry JackRabbitSlim - didn't mean to "one-up" you, I just hadn't read through to your post when I went ahead and posted this.
[Edit2] Added the Cantha mod, changed to .zip files because some browsers try to "display" .tpf files as gibberish.

I didnt realize that rapidshare was that way when I uploaded the files. We were just looking for a quick way to get it out to everyone.
I have also uploaded them to MediaFire as well to try and alleviate that.
Tyria Cartography Made Easy.tpf
Elona Cartography Made Easy.tpf

Thanks to everyone that made the "Cartography Made Easy" mod, without it I never would have found some of those places, I just could not see them with Anet's map! Congrats on a job well done!

with the CME mods, what is the areas that are like the border of explored areas, but a solid shape like that? its different from both explorable and unexplorable shadings...
and I assume areas that are black within my explored areas means I found it and the GMC didn't?

I'm not quite sure how to obtain appropriate textures legally and alter them to find, but I'm hoping someone here is for this. I was wondering if it was possible to replace all the sky textures ingame with ones of quality similar to the login screens for Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North.

Did a quick and easy method of mapping the skin sheet to my Prophecies Female Elementalist if anyone wants a look. Tried numbers first and found out that they need to be backwards... Then I used color patches.
Will drop on Photobucket if anyone wants a look...

a big problem someone else may have posted is someone may be able to attach a virus to something tryin to sell. idk, im not a huge computer person, but that seems like a viable problem to completly "custom" stuff

Generally you can only get viruses on executable and script files, so a tpf file is highly unlikely to be infected as it is just a data file. I'd be more concerned about the texmod executable, so be sure to get it from somewhere reliable.

I'm not entirely sure if it's possible since they behave like particles, but rank emotes might be fun to toy around with. Somebody out there might be creative enough to do something with them, just an idea.

How are you able to pull the models out?
And are they replaceable like the skins?

My guess is she/he is using DX ripper, a free bit of software mean't for learning purposes only.
It rips DX9 models(geometry, textures and shaders) out in Maya and 3ds max format, not much point for modding purposes though, as you can't get them back in.
I may be wrong, but I think you would need a plugin for whatever software anet used to open the models properly.
It launches attached to the dx9 application(gw in this case) though, so I would not touch it with Guild wars as its considered a third-party program(I would expect).
As such BlueSS, maybe you or a mod should take those images down as it kinda shows a clear breach of the user agreement.....(I may be wrong, but that is how I understand it )
